The Pitt Adds Sepideh Moafi as Season 2 Series Regular

HBO Max's medical drama "The Pitt" is returning for a second season in early 2026 with production underway, featuring Sepideh Moafi joining the cast as a series regular in the role of an attending physician in emergency medicine. The show, starring Noah Wyle and created by R. Scott Gemmill, follows the staff of a Pittsburgh hospital's emergency department in real time, highlighting the challenges healthcare workers face in modern America. Season 2 will continue the format of 15 episodes, each covering one hour of a hospital shift, with the storyline expected to take place over Fourth of July weekend. Alongside Moafi, new recurring cast members include Charles Baker, Irene Choi, Laëtitia Hollard, and Lucas Iverson.
