Ann Arbor police investigate two groping incidents

Ann Arbor police are investigating two separate incidents on April 17 in which women were groped by an unknown man in downtown areas. The first incident occurred around 11:20 p.m. near South Fifth Avenue and East William Street, where a woman was groped twice by the same suspect before he fled. About 25 minutes later, a second woman was groped by a man matching the same description while approaching her home on Greenwood Avenue; the suspect fled after she yelled at him. Both victims described the suspect as a skinny male, 20 to 25 years old, between 5'8" and 6'0", wearing a light-colored jean jacket and a beanie. Police have released surveillance footage of the suspect and are urging anyone with information to contact the Ann Arbor Police Department or submit a tip online.
