Early goals from Joseph Paintsil and Dejan Joveljić put the Galaxy ahead, but Sean Nealis’s response for the Red Bulls brought them back into contention. Despite a strong second-half performance from the Red Bulls, the Galaxy's defense held firm, limiting their opponents to just 0.91 expected goals. Gastón Brugman, who assisted Paintsil’s opening goal, was named MVP of the match, while head coach Greg Vanney celebrated his second MLS Cup victory. This win also marked the Galaxy's first championship since 2014, ending a decade-long drought. The match was played in front of a crowd of 26,812 fans at Dignity Health Sports Park.
