Mick Schumacher Considered for Audi F1 Team

Audi's F1 chief, Mattia Binotto, has confirmed that Mick Schumacher is being considered for a driving position alongside Nico Hulkenberg at the Audi-owned Sauber team for the 2025 season. After losing his seat at Haas in 2022, Schumacher has been a reserve driver for Mercedes but is now presented with a potential opportunity to return to the grid. Binotto expressed that the team is still weighing its options between experienced drivers like Valtteri Bottas and promising talents such as Formula 2 leader Gabriel Bortoleto. He emphasized the importance of taking time to assess the best path forward for Audi's long-term vision in F1, stating, “We can afford the luxury of not rushing.” Binotto acknowledged his familiarity with Schumacher from their time in the Ferrari Driver Academy, highlighting Schumacher's strengths.
