High-Speed Train Launches Berlin-Paris Route

A new high-speed train service connecting Berlin and Paris has been launched, offering a direct, scenic journey that takes approximately eight hours. Operated by Deutsche Bahn and SNCF, the train travels at speeds of up to 320 km/h in France and 250 km/h in Germany, with convenient stops in Frankfurt, Karlsruhe, and Strasbourg. This service is part of Europe's efforts to enhance rail connectivity and promote eco-friendly travel, as it significantly reduces carbon emissions compared to flying. Meanwhile, disruptions to trains to Brussels Airport are expected from late January to early March due to construction work. In other travel news, Air Transat announced a new non-stop route between Toronto and Berlin for summer 2025, while easyJet continues to expand its UK offerings with new routes to Bordeaux and Gibraltar starting in May and June 2025, respectively.
