CATL Unveils New EV Batteries With Record Range

At its recent Tech Day event in Shanghai, CATL unveiled several major innovations in electric vehicle battery technology, including the mass production of sodium-ion batteries, which offer a cheaper and environmentally friendly alternative to lithium-based cells. The company also introduced the 'Freevoy Dual Power Battery,' capable of delivering over 1,500 kilometers on a single charge by combining two different battery technologies. CATL's second-generation Shenxing Superfast Charging Battery now enables up to 800 kilometers of range with ultra-fast charging, and will power more than 67 new EV models this year. These advancements promise lighter, cheaper, and more cold-resistant batteries with faster charging, helping to make EVs more competitive with gasoline vehicles. CATL remains the world’s largest EV battery supplier and continues to drive global innovation in the industry.
