Ryder Cup at Bethpage: Bradley vs Donald Sept. 26–28
The 45th Ryder Cup will be held Sept. 26–28, 2025, at Bethpage Black in Farmingdale, N.Y., a notoriously tough public course where raucous home crowds give Team USA a pronounced advantage. U.S. captain Keegan Bradley — who has deep personal ties to Bethpage from his St. John’s days — is serving as a non-playing captain after removing himself from player consideration; Luke Donald returns as Europe’s defending captain. The U.S. roster includes world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, fresh off multiple 2025 wins including the PGA Championship and The Open, alongside Collin Morikawa, Xander Schauffele, Bryson DeChambeau and Justin Thomas, while Europe largely brings back its 2023 core, including Rory McIlroy, Viktor Hovland and Tommy Fleetwood, with expected pairings such as McIlroy/Fleetwood and Jon Rahm/Tyrrell Hatton. The competition comprises 28 matches (foursomes, four-ball and singles) with 14½ points needed to win, and captains are shaping pairings and practice plans to avoid past slow starts. Inclement weather prompted schedule adjustments that moved the opening ceremony and led organizers to announce pairings separately (Thursday at 4 p.m. ET); U.S. broadcast coverage will air on USA Network and NBC with streaming options like Fubo.
