Sedalia Teen Dies in Head-On Jet Ski Crash at Table Rock Lake

A 16-year-old boy from Sedalia, Missouri, tragically died after a head-on collision between two personal watercraft on Table Rock Lake near Clevenger Cove. The crash occurred around 2:45 p.m. when the 16-year-old's 2021 Sea-Doo collided with a 2024 Sea-Doo driven by a 19-year-old man from Ozark, who was not injured. The younger teen was pronounced dead at the scene despite wearing a flotation device, while the older operator was reportedly not wearing one. This incident marks the first boating fatality of 2025 for Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop D. The City of Sedalia expressed condolences to the family and community, asking for thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Both watercraft sustained minor damage and were taken into custody by the Missouri State Highway Patrol for investigation.
