SKALA Program Advances Indonesia Regional Development Collaboration

Several community events and volunteer efforts are taking place across various regions in early September 2025. Sustainable Claremont volunteers aided Altadena homeowners affected by the Eaton Fire by applying compost and water-retaining berms around trees to improve water absorption. The City of Dixon is hosting multiple community events including the Movies in the Park series starting September 13, a Kiwanis Club open house, a comedy night celebrating Dixon Family Services' 40th anniversary, and a 20th anniversary celebration at Dixon Montessori Charter School. In Miramar, a First Fridays networking event features guest speaker Rohan Marley, founder of Marley Coffee, focusing on entrepreneurship and community engagement. Additionally, Roseburg offers a variety of social and cultural activities such as bingo, family support groups, historical house tours, and a writers’ meeting, highlighting active community participation and support services. These diverse events reflect ongoing efforts to foster community resilience, cultural enrichment, and social support.
