Rusev Signs New WWE Deal, Attacks Alpha Academy

Rusev made a dramatic return to WWE on the RAW after WrestleMania 41, ending a five-year absence following his run in AEW as Miro. He interrupted a segment between The New Day and Alpha Academy, attacking Otis and Akira Tozawa while sending the new World Tag Team Champions fleeing. Rusev has officially signed a new two-year contract with WWE, and his wife CJ Perry (Lana) has agreed to a Legends deal, though she did not appear during his return. Rusev's comeback was arranged by his talent agency, Paradigm. His last AEW match was in December 2023, and he secured his release in February 2024. Rusev has announced his intention to dominate WWE and pursue the World Championship.
