Woman shot in Kendall

A woman was critically injured after being shot multiple times by her ex-husband, Pedro Nunez, inside her Kendall home early Sunday morning. Police were alerted after a tenant found a large amount of blood and the victim with gunshot wounds at around 3:30 a.m. Nunez later called 911 to confess his involvement in the shooting, admitting he shot his ex-wife about four times during an argument. The victim has undergone surgery for wounds to her torso and extremities and is currently in stable condition, although she is expected to require another surgery. Nunez has been charged with attempted felony murder and is in custody of the Miami-Dade Police Department's Domestic Violence detectives. The couple shares a 10-year-old child, and the investigation is ongoing to determine further details surrounding the incident.
