Maggie Rogers Announced as 2025 NYU Tisch Graduation Speaker

Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter and Clive Davis Institute alum Maggie Rogers will serve as the 2025 Salute Speaker at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts graduation ceremony, scheduled for May 16 at Radio City Music Hall. Rogers, who graduated from Tisch in 2016, returns to her alma mater after achieving critical and commercial success with three albums, including 'Heard It in a Past Life' and her latest, 'Don’t Forget Me,' which was named one of Rolling Stone's '100 Best Albums of 2024.' Her career was notably launched when a viral 2016 masterclass video showed Pharrell Williams praising her song 'Alaska.' Rogers has since headlined arena tours and collaborated with artists such as Sylvan Esso and Zach Bryan. Her selection as commencement speaker represents a full-circle moment, inspiring graduates through her journey from student to acclaimed artist. In addition to her music accomplishments, Rogers also earned a master's degree from Harvard in 2022.
