British Woman, South African Found Dead in Vietnam

A British woman, born in 1991, and a South African man, born in 1988, were found dead in separate rooms at the Hoa Ch. Tourist Villa in Hoi An, Vietnam, on December 26. Police discovered several empty liquor bottles at the scene and have begun an investigation, with autopsies ordered to determine the cause of death; initial findings show no signs of external force on the bodies. Both individuals had been residing at the villa since July 4. This incident follows a separate case of a British tourist in Thailand who died after consuming magic mushrooms, leading to severe reactions and subsequent death. Authorities in Thailand have arrested four suspects, including the owner of a cannabis shop where the mushrooms were allegedly purchased. The UK Foreign Office is providing support to the family of the deceased in Thailand.
