Teen Turns Himself In for Hinesville Shooting

Multiple suspects in recent shootings have turned themselves in to law enforcement across different locations. In Knoxville, Ariran Burks, 34, surrendered to police regarding a shooting on Chapman Highway that critically injured a 24-year-old woman, facing two counts of attempted first-degree murder and four counts of aggravated assault. In Jackson, Johnathan Fortenberry, 26, turned himself in for the September 4 murder of Carderius Hawthorne, who was found shot dead in a vehicle. Similarly, 17-year-old Jarousha Houston turned himself in for a shooting in Hinesville that resulted in the death of 30-year-old Alexander Johnson. Both Fortenberry and Houston are facing serious charges, including murder and aggravated assault. These incidents highlight ongoing concerns about gun violence in the respective communities.
