Missouri Woman Sentenced 57 Months for Defrauding Elvis Presley Family in Graceland Sale Scheme

Lisa Jeanine Findley, a Missouri woman, was sentenced to 57 months in prison and three years of supervised release for orchestrating a sophisticated mail fraud scheme to defraud Elvis Presley’s family by attempting to auction off Graceland, the legendary estate. Findley falsely claimed that Lisa Marie Presley, Elvis's daughter who died in 2023, had borrowed $3.8 million from a fabricated private lender using Graceland as collateral and threatened to sell the property unless the Presley family paid a $2.85 million settlement. She used multiple aliases, fabricated loan documents, forged signatures, and published a fraudulent foreclosure notice in a Memphis newspaper, but a judge halted the sale after Presley’s granddaughter Riley Keough sued. Authorities arrested Findley in 2024, and she pleaded guilty to mail fraud, with the aggravated identity theft charge dropped as part of a plea agreement.
