Virginia Tech Lands Key Transfers, Hires New Coordinators

Virginia Tech football has revamped its roster after a 6-7 season, bringing in at least 29 transfers including former Oklahoma State quarterback Garret Rangel, Auburn offensive lineman Jaden Muskrat, UNC linebacker Michael Short, USF defensive lineman Immanuel Hickman, and Georgia Southern defensive tackle Elhadj Fall. The team also hired new coordinators Phillip Montgomery and Sam Siefkes following the departure of both previous coordinators and over 20 players. Muskrat reunites with Montgomery, his former coach at Tulsa, to bolster an offensive line that lost all five starters, while Rangel competes for the starting quarterback role.
