Seven Killed in Wyoming Plane Crash
Three members of the Grammy-nominated gospel group, The Nelons, died in a tragic plane crash in Wyoming on Friday while en route to the Gaither Homecoming Cruise to Alaska. Those killed include co-founder Kelly Nelon Clark, her husband Jason Clark, and their daughter Amber Nelon Kistler, along with Amber's husband Nathan Kistler, family friend Melodi Hodges, and pilot Larry Haynie and his wife Melissa. Autumn Nelon Streetman, the fourth member of the family, was not aboard the plane and expressed gratitude for the support and prayers extended to her family during this difficult time. The crash, which occurred around 1 p.m. near Gillette, Wyoming, also sparked a wildfire that emergency responders were called to contain. Georgia Governor Brian Kemp acknowledged the loss of Larry Haynie, who served as chairman of the Georgia Board of Corrections, and called for prayers for those affected. The National Transportation Safety Board is currently investigating the incident, with the cause of the crash still unknown.
