Kris Bryant, third baseman for the Colorado Rockies, recently had his 2023 Lamborghini Huracan stolen during a fraudulent auto transport scheme. The vehicle, valued at approximately $300,000, was intercepted by hackers who rerouted its delivery to Las Vegas, prompting an investigation when it failed to arrive as scheduled. Police utilized license plate recognition technology to track the vehicle and, on October 7, found it along with other stolen cars and fraudulent documents. Multiple suspects were arrested in connection with a larger car theft ring, although their identities have not been disclosed. The case highlights the growing sophistication of vehicle theft methods, particularly those involving digital deception. Bryant's vehicle has since been recovered and is set to be returned after processing for evidence.
