Communities Roll Out Fall Festivals, Promotions

Communities nationwide are rolling out fall programming and promotions that emphasize family-friendly fun and local culture. Kane County’s long-running Harvest Fall Festival at Oakhurst Forest Preserve returned with pumpkin painting, raptors, crafts and a new “Touch‑A‑Tractor” attraction. New Orleans tourism leaders are marketing smaller autumn events — from Gretna Fest to Fried Chicken Fest and the Krewe of Boo — to boost shoulder-season visitation and support conferences and year-round economic activity. Regional outlets highlight a wide slate of neighborhood fundraisers and festivals in Utah and northwest Oklahoma, including Wings and Wheels, Swiss Days and the BER Festival, aimed at families. Favorable late-season weather is expected in parts of the Midwest (southeast Wisconsin forecast highs near the mid-70s to around 80), and retail and lifestyle coverage is promoting seasonal essentials such as Ole Smoky moonshine, Fire Department Coffee instant espresso and Caliwater for tailgates and gatherings.
