Multiple Arrests Made in Stabbing Cases Across Cities

Recently, police in several cities have responded to serious stabbing incidents resulting in multiple arrests. In Erie, Pennsylvania, Jahleel T. Gavin was charged with attempted homicide after allegedly stabbing a man in May, with a preliminary hearing set for July 18. In Montreal North, a 40-year-old man was arrested following a stabbing that left another man critically injured, though the circumstances are unclear. In Toronto, Anthony Steven Oliveira, 24, was arrested in Niagara Falls and charged with first-degree murder after fatally stabbing Ashkan Pournasir-Roudbane, 35, who was attacked while sitting alone; police believe the attack was targeted. Oliveira is also wanted for a prior assault in Oshawa. Authorities emphasize that the Toronto victim was not involved in a dispute with the suspect.
