Margo Price Releases New Album Hard Headed Woman August 29

Margo Price has announced her new album, Hard Headed Woman, set for release on August 29 via Loma Vista Recordings. Produced by longtime collaborator Matt Ross-Spang and recorded at Nashville's historic RCA Studio A, the album features duets with Tyler Childers and Jesse Welles and includes co-writing contributions from Kris Kristofferson, Rodney Crowell, and Jeremy Ivey. The lead single, "Don't Let The Bastards Get You Down," draws inspiration from Margaret Atwood's The Handmaid’s Tale and a moment involving Kristofferson and Sinéad O’Connor, serving as a rallying cry for resilience and individuality. Price aims to speak up for the common person and encourages listeners to be fearless and authentic amidst a culture that pressures conformity. The album blends traditional and modern outlaw country elements and reflects Price's deep connection to Nashville and its musical legacy. To support the release, Price will embark on a 2025 tour with appearances at major festivals like Newport Folk Festival and Farm Aid, as well as shows alongside Mumford & Sons.
