Two Dead After Car Drives Off Edmonds Ferry Dock
A high-speed police chase late Tuesday night ended when a fleeing car drove off the Edmonds ferry dock in Snohomish County, resulting in two deaths and three serious injuries. The incident began after a Washington State Patrol trooper attempted to stop the vehicle for speeding on I-5, but the driver did not pull over, leading to a pursuit involving both the State Patrol and the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office. The car crashed through the ferry terminal barriers before plunging into the water, prompting a rescue operation. Three occupants were rescued and taken to Harborview Medical Center, while the bodies of two others were recovered. Authorities have not yet confirmed if the driver is among the deceased or injured. The Washington State Patrol is leading the ongoing investigation, and the Edmonds-Kingston ferry route has since resumed normal service.
