NFL Sponsorship Revenue Reaches Record $2.5 Billion for 2024 Season

The NFL has reported a significant increase in sponsorship revenue for the 2024 season, reaching $2.49 billion, a 6% rise from the previous year, according to SponsorUnited. The number of active sponsorship deals across the league has also grown, surpassing 3,600, with brands like Bud Light, Ford, and Ticketmaster leading the way. Ticketing remains the top sponsorship category, generating nearly $300 million, followed by financial services and alcoholic beverages. The NFL's strategic moves to engage fans year-round, including offseason events and international activations, have attracted more sponsors, allowing for continuous engagement beyond the typical seasonal model. Notably, the Jacksonville Jaguars had the most sponsorships, while Washington Commanders’ rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels and Dallas Cowboys’ DeMarcus Lawrence led in individual endorsements with 18 deals each. Overall, the NFL continues to dominate the sports sponsorship landscape, significantly outpacing other leagues like MLB and the NBA.
