Blackwall Secures €45 Million for Cybersecurity Expansion

Blackwall, an Estonia-based cybersecurity firm formerly known as BotGuard, has secured €45 million in Series B funding led by Dawn Capital. This investment will enable the company to double its workforce and expand its presence in the U.S. and Asia-Pacific markets. Blackwall, which defends over 2.3 million websites from malicious bot traffic, aims to provide cost-effective security solutions for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) that are particularly vulnerable to sophisticated AI-driven threats. Its flagship product, GateKeeper, acts as a reverse proxy, filtering malicious requests in real-time and helping hosting service providers and managed service providers protect their clients. The recent funding will also support the development of additional products, including an ad fraud prevention solution tailored for e-commerce sites. The company's shift to the name Blackwall reflects its mission to offer robust, user-friendly security solutions for SMBs while adopting a channel model for distribution.
