Suspect Arrested for Burglarizing Sheriff’s Vehicle in Florida
Israeli soccer fans were violently assaulted in Amsterdam after social media incited attacks against Jewish people, resulting in five hospitalizations and numerous arrests. The incidents were condemned as antisemitic by officials in Amsterdam, Israel, and throughout Europe. In a separate incident in Fort Lauderdale, a Broward Sheriff’s Office vehicle assigned to Sheriff Gregory Tony was burglarized early Sunday morning, with items including firearm magazines and a handcuff key stolen, although no firearms were taken. The suspect, 41-year-old Andre Demetric Perry, was arrested later that day on unrelated charges and linked to the burglary. Perry, who has a lengthy criminal history and was on probation at the time, remains in custody as the investigation continues. The Broward Sheriff's Office is urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
