Investigation Launched After Students Tattoo Each Other with Shared Needle in North Texas

An investigation is underway at Travis Intermediate School in Greenville, Texas, after students were reported to have given each other tattoos using a shared needle during class. Multiple teachers have been suspended as the Greenville Independent School District (ISD) conducts its inquiry into the incident, which raised significant health concerns due to the use of a single needle among several students. Parent Ashley Armstrong, whose son received tattoos on his arms, expressed outrage and called for accountability, questioning how such activities could occur without teacher supervision. Although initial medical tests showed no infections, further evaluations are planned as a precaution. The district is collaborating with law enforcement to identify all students involved in the incident. Armstrong emphasized the potential long-term health effects of the tattoos, regardless of the ink being temporary.
