US Colleges Announce 2024-25 Academic, Athletic Honors

Academic and athletic honors for the 2024-25 academic year have been announced by universities and sports organizations across the United States. The Alexander High School volleyball team was named to the AVCA Team Academic Honor Roll, ranking in the top 20% nationally for GPA. Multiple men's basketball teams—including Purdue, Purdue-Fort Wayne, University of Hawaii, Chaminade, Mississippi University for Women, and Texas Permian Basin—earned NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards for maintaining team GPAs above 3.0, with several players also named to the NABC Honors Court for individual academic achievement. Purdue was highlighted for both reaching the NCAA Sweet 16 and having 12 players with GPAs above 3.0. University of Idaho, Mississippi College, and other institutions also released their dean’s and president’s lists, celebrating academic excellence among students. These recognitions underscore the ongoing commitment to both academic and athletic achievement among students and student-athletes nationwide.
