Redwire Completes Hammerhead Spacecraft Integration for ESA Mission

Redwire Corporation has expanded its international collaboration by signing a memorandum of understanding with Japanese startup SpaceData to integrate AI and digital engineering systems for missions involving the International Space Station, Lunar, Cislunar, and deep space exploration. Concurrently, Redwire has successfully completed the integration of its Hammerhead spacecraft platform for an upcoming European Space Agency (ESA) mission, the In-Orbit Demonstration and Verification mission funded by the European Union, at its advanced facility in Kruibeke, Belgium. This marks the second Hammerhead spacecraft integrated at the Belgian site this summer, reinforcing Redwire's role as a prime contractor for ESA projects including the ALTIUS mission. The Hammerhead platform has a 50-year track record of reliable low Earth orbit performance and features Redwire's third-generation Advanced Data and Power Management System avionics. Redwire's Belgian facility, with over 40 years of spaceflight heritage, continues to support European space exploration with additional projects like Skimsat, a small satellite technology demonstrator. These developments highlight Redwire’s leadership in aerospace innovation and its growing strategic partnerships across global markets.
