21-Year-Old Man Arrested for Bronx Rape

A 21-year-old man, Gregory Williams, has been arrested in connection with the brutal rape of a 26-year-old woman in the Bronx early Wednesday morning. The victim was attacked around 3:30 a.m. on Virginia Avenue, where Williams allegedly struck her multiple times before sexually assaulting her. He was apprehended later that day at a homeless shelter, where he identified himself from surveillance footage. The victim was transported to a hospital and is in stable condition. Williams faces multiple charges, including two counts of first-degree rape and assault, with his arraignment pending. The investigation is being led by the NYPD’s Bronx Special Victims Squad.
