Koci Selamaj, serving a life sentence for the murder of Sabina Nessa, attacked prison officers at HMP Frankland, injuring them with a piece of toilet porcelain he had broken from his cell. Meanwhile, David Taylor, 62, has been charged with attempted murder after stabbing a Greater Manchester Police detective in the chest during an interview at the same prison on July 23. Taylor appeared via videolink at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates' Court and is set to appear at Teesside Crown Court on October 1.
