United Way Benefit for Hurricane Relief Airs Nov. 2

United Way Worldwide and Paramount Global are hosting a benefit concert to raise funds for victims of Hurricanes Helene and Milton, which caused an estimated $50 billion in damages. The one-hour special, airing on CBS and CMT on November 2 at 8 PM ET, features performances by artists including Brittney Spencer, Chris Janson, and Clay Aiken, with appearances by celebrities such as the Backstreet Boys and Stephen Colbert. Proceeds will support hurricane relief and long-term recovery efforts for affected families in the southeastern U.S. Angela F. Williams, President and CEO of United Way Worldwide, emphasized the importance of unity in recovery efforts, stating that the event aims to mobilize community support. The special was taped in Nashville on October 27-28 and will also be available for streaming on Paramount+. This initiative reflects a broader commitment by United Way, which has responded to over 200 disasters in the last four years.
