Micheal Ward Charged With Rape, Sexual Assault

British actor Micheal Ward, known for his roles in 'Top Boy' and 'Empire of Light,' has been charged by London’s Metropolitan Police with two counts of rape and three counts of sexual assault related to alleged offences involving one woman in January 2023. The Crown Prosecution Service authorized the charges after reviewing evidence. Ward, 27, denies the allegations and states he is fully cooperating with authorities, expressing confidence that the legal process will clear his name. He is scheduled to appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court in London on August 28, 2025. Following the announcement, his UK talent agency dropped him, though he remains represented in the US.
