Jennifer Lopez to Star in Netflix Thriller Adaptation

Jennifer Lopez will star in Netflix’s adaptation of the 2017 psychological thriller 'The Last Mrs. Parrish,' based on Liv Constantine’s bestselling novel and Reese Witherspoon book club pick. The film is directed by Oscar winner Robert Zemeckis, known for 'Forrest Gump' and 'Back to the Future.' Lopez plays a con artist who targets a wealthy couple to become the new Mrs. Parrish, only to face unforeseen complications. The screenplay is written by Andrea Berloff and Oscar-nominee John Gatins, reuniting Gatins and Zemeckis after their work on 'Flight.' Production is led by Liza Chasin, Molly Sims, and Lopez through Nuyorican Productions, with the book’s authors as executive producers. Additional casting details and a release date have not yet been announced.
