Rush Reflects on Shortened Final Tour

Members of Rush, Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson, have expressed regret over their 2015 farewell tour, which only included 35 shows in North America, neglecting fans in the UK and Europe. They attributed this decision to drummer Neil Peart's insistence on a limited number of dates due to his health issues, as he was unwilling to perform more than 30 shows. Lee felt they let down their British and European audience, stating, 'It felt to me incorrect that we didn’t do it.' Lifeson noted that Peart's health deteriorated, making the tour's constraints inevitable. The band's dissolution was officially recognized only after Peart's death in January 2020.
