Banijay Reports 3% Revenue Growth to €1.42B Driven by Streaming, Live Events

Banijay Group reported significant revenue growth across its online gaming and entertainment divisions in the first half of 2025. The online sports betting and gaming segment saw a 12.3-12.5% increase in revenue to approximately €785 million, driven by strong player acquisition, retention, and a heightened interest in new sports formats like the Champions League. Banijay Entertainment and Banijay Live combined generated €1.43 billion in revenue, up 3%, with EBITDA rising 6% to €208 million, supported by increased content production, distribution, and live experiences including major sports ceremonies. The share of streaming revenue in production and distribution grew from 17% to 20%, reflecting deeper penetration into global streaming platforms like Netflix and Prime Video. Live experiences revenue surged 15.4% to €173 million, aided by acquisitions and high-profile event productions. Banijay's CEO Marco Bassetti emphasized continued creativity investment, digital transformation efforts, and a strong pipeline of upcoming content and live events for the remainder of 2025.
