Multiple Mega Infrastructure Projects Advance across China, Uzbekistan, Saudi Arabia

Several major infrastructure projects are advancing across Asia and the Middle East in 2025, reflecting significant investments in transportation and logistics. In southwest China's Chongqing Municipality, the main cable strands were successfully erected for the 1,260-meter Huangjuetuo Yangtze River Bridge, marking a key milestone in its construction. Meanwhile, a new expressway linking Guangdong and Fujian provinces has begun construction, aiming to improve regional connectivity and reduce travel time by approximately 30 minutes upon completion in 2029. In northwest China, all box girder erection tasks for bridges along the 171-kilometer Xi'an-Ankang High-Speed Railway have been completed, facilitating faster travel with a designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour. Uzbekistan completed a modern 693.5-meter bridge at Tashkent International Airport, featuring innovative engineering solutions and international standards, capable of handling up to 132,000 vehicles daily. Additionally, Saudi Arabia's Port of Neom has initiated a pilot shipment that cuts transit times from Egypt by over 50 percent, supporting the kingdom's Vision 2030 logistics ambitions by enhancing a critical intermodal corridor along a major maritime trade route.
