San Diego Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Draws 31,000 Runners, Records 11% Growth

The 2025 Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series in San Diego drew over 31,000 participants across full marathon, half marathon, and 5K events, marking an 11% increase from previous years and a significant rise in runners from Mexico. The event also relied on around 1,000 volunteers and medical personnel to support runners, with some treated for heat-related issues but no serious injuries reported. Extensive road closures were implemented throughout the weekend to accommodate the races, impacting major streets like Park Boulevard and Balboa Drive.
