A 21-year-old MBBS student, Aarushi Mishra, died after allegedly being pushed from the third floor of a building in Karad, Maharashtra by her male friend Dhruv Chikkara. Both were students at Krishna Vishwa Vidyalaya and had been in a relationship for two years but had recent disputes. The incident occurred on June 30 following an argument in Dhruv's flat. Aarushi's mother, a doctor in Bihar, filed a complaint stating that Dhruv often fought with and physically abused her daughter, suspecting her of infidelity. Dhruv, who was arrested and charged with murder, had injuries that police suspect were from a physical altercation with Aarushi. The case underscores issues of domestic violence and the importance of seeking help in abusive relationships.
