BJP Pushes for Seat, Post Gains in Maharashtra

As Maharashtra approaches its assembly elections scheduled for November 20, political dynamics within the Mahayuti alliance are intensifying. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde is optimistic about replicating Haryana-like results in Maharashtra, emphasizing effective governance and public welfare initiatives. Maharashtra BJP president Chandrashekhar Bawankule has urged Shinde to make 'sacrifices' in seat-sharing, highlighting the BJP's position as the largest party in the alliance and its desire to contest more seats, particularly those it previously held. Bawankule stressed the importance of resolving seat-sharing tensions within the alliance to ensure a smooth election campaign. While the BJP claims to have made sacrifices by allowing Shinde to become Chief Minister, it now seeks a greater share of ministerial and corporation posts.
