President Droupadi Murmu arrived in Ranchi on Thursday evening for a two-day visit to participate in the centenary celebrations of the ICAR-National Institute of Secondary Agriculture (NISA) on Friday. The event will take place at 11.10 am in Namkum, where she is expected to interact with scientists and address local farmers. Security has been heightened, with three-layered arrangements made at key locations including the airport and the programme venue, and traffic diversions implemented to facilitate her visit. The President was greeted upon her arrival by Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar, and Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan. Following the celebrations, she is scheduled to depart for New Delhi around 1 pm on Friday.
