Russian Warships on Duty in Black Sea

As of November 29, 2024, the Ukrainian Navy reported three Russian warships equipped with Kalibr cruise missiles on combat duty in the Black Sea, capable of launching up to 16 missiles. Concurrently, reports indicate the takeoff of Russian Tu-95MS bombers from Olenya airfield, with missile launches detected from the Black Sea, prompting an alert across Ukraine due to the missile threat. The Ukrainian Navy noted that no enemy vessels are currently present in the Sea of Azov or the Mediterranean Sea. Over the past days, multiple vessels have traversed the Kerch Strait, with some advancing towards the Bosporus Strait. Additionally, recent drone attacks on Kyiv and an aerial strike on Sumy resulted in casualties and damage to infrastructure. Despite the significant losses in its Black Sea Fleet, Russia retains missile strike capabilities.
