MetaMask, a leading Ethereum wallet developed by Consensys, has registered a new domain, claim.metamask.io, which has fueled widespread speculation about an imminent token airdrop for its users. The domain currently requires authentication, suggesting it could serve as a portal for claiming a rumored MASK token, aligning with MetaMask's recently announced $30 million rewards program involving Linea tokens from Consensys’ Ethereum layer-2 network. This program aims to incentivize user engagement through on-chain activities like token swaps and bridging, with points potentially redeemable for the upcoming token distribution. Consensys CEO Joe Lubin highlighted that the initiative is a step toward decentralization and deeper integration of MetaMask into users’ financial activities, with the token launch expected sooner than many anticipate.
