Pixar’s 'Elio' Streams on Disney+ September 17

Disney and Pixar's animated film "Elio" will premiere on Disney+ on September 17, following its theatrical release on June 20 and digital availability on August 19. The film follows Elio, a space-obsessed boy who is mistakenly identified as Earth's leader by alien lifeforms in the intergalactic Communiverse, prompting him to navigate a cosmic crisis and form new bonds. "Elio" earned $154 million globally, underperforming compared to other Pixar films like "Inside Out 2," but hopes to find a broader audience through its streaming debut. The movie is also available on physical media, including Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD, with releases featuring additional content such as deleted scenes and behind-the-scenes footage. Directed by Domee Shi and Madeline Sharafian, "Elio" explores themes of self-discovery and connection in an imaginative sci-fi adventure.
