Sammy Wilkinson drove more than 200 miles to Scotland to rehome XL bullies before the ban on the breed was imposed in England and Wales. The ban imposes muzzling and leash requirements and makes it illegal to breed, sell, advertise, gift, exchange, abandon, or let dogs stray. Wilkinson has taken around 30 dogs to rehome them in Scotland, where the ban does not apply. A Go Fund Me page has raised nearly £9,000 in support of Wilkinson's efforts, and the money will be used to help people apply for exemption certificates and muzzles for their XL Bullies.
