Driver admits causing death of baby in Worcestershire crash

Craig Nunn, 40, has admitted to causing the death of three-week-old Harley Thomas Wilkinson in a crash that occurred on the A451 between Kidderminster and Stourport-on-Severn on October 26. Initially pleading not guilty, Nunn changed his plea in Worcester Crown Court to guilty on charges of causing death by dangerous driving, causing serious injury by dangerous driving, and driving with a specified drug above the limit. The court heard that the crash involved Nunn’s Ford Focus and a Suzuki Vitara, resulting in the baby’s death at the scene while the other occupants were hospitalized. Nunn has surrendered his driving license, stating he will never drive again, and is set to be sentenced on May 16. The judge remarked on Nunn’s admission of responsibility, which will be taken into account during sentencing. Additional charges related to items found in Nunn's vehicle, including an imitation firearm, are pending in magistrates' court.
