Natalie Dormer, who portrays Sarah Ferguson in the upcoming TV series The Lady, has refused to promote the show following the resurfacing of emails revealing Ferguson's apologetic correspondence with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Dormer stated that new information made it impossible to reconcile her values with Ferguson's behavior, which she finds inexcusable. In response, Dormer has donated her entire salary from the project to UK charities supporting abused children, namely the National Association for People Abused in Childhood and the Centre of Expertise on Child Sexual Abuse. Despite her decision, Dormer clarified that her stance is not a reflection on the production team, praising their work. The Lady is a four-part drama partly based on true events surrounding Jane Andrews, Ferguson's former royal dresser, and explores complex personal journeys. The controversy has led several UK charities to sever ties with Sarah Ferguson due to her association with Epstein.
