WestJet Expands Winter Flights From Calgary, Toronto, Québec To Caribbean, Mexico, Central America

WestJet is significantly expanding its winter 2025/2026 flight network across Canada, introducing new routes and increasing capacity to popular sun destinations. From Calgary, WestJet is launching six new routes to tropical locations, boosting sun destination seat capacity by 15% compared to the previous winter, and enhancing domestic connectivity including expanded service to Tokyo and Mexico City. Toronto will see new non-stop flights to Havana, Cuba, and Samaná, Dominican Republic, with an 8% increase in southbound seat capacity and a 5% capacity boost at Toronto Pearson Airport. Québec's winter schedule, now integrated with Sunwing, includes new weekly flights from Montréal to Samaná and Managua, and new routes from Québec City to San Andrés Island and Montego Bay, with an overall 12% increase in weekly departures from Québec. Across Canada, WestJet will operate 305 routes this winter, serving 62 Latin American, Caribbean, and U.S. sun destinations, while maintaining seat capacity consistent with last winter due to aircraft updates.
