Hocevar, Hill Earn Texas Poles After Rain, Qualifying
Carson Hocevar captured his first NASCAR Cup Series pole position at Texas Motor Speedway with a lap time of 28.174 seconds, narrowly beating William Byron for the top spot in the Würth 400. Austin Cindric, the previous weekend’s Talladega winner, will start third, with Kyle Larson and Michael McDowell completing the top five. This Texas event is the 11th race of the 2025 Cup Season, and notably, no pole sitter has secured a race win so far this year. In the Xfinity Series, Austin Hill will start on pole after rain forced the cancellation of Friday’s practice and qualifying, leading NASCAR to set the lineup via its metric system. Both the Cup and Xfinity Series races will be broadcast nationally with multiple streaming and radio options available. The starting lineups highlight strong performances from Chevrolet drivers, with Ty Gibbs as the highest qualifying Toyota in sixth for the Cup race.
