Arizona State Wins Cabo Collegiate Men’s Golf Tournament

Arizona State University's men's golf team has demonstrated strong performances in recent tournaments, notably winning the 2025 Cabo Collegiate for the second consecutive year with a 15-under 838 score, leading all three days against a field of top-25 teams. Sophomore Fifa Laopakdee emerged as a standout player, tying for first with a 3-under performance and the lowest scoring average on par 4s. ASU has a rich history at The Amer Ari in Hawaii, having won the team championship three times, including in 2021. The team will also be participating in the inaugural Wohali Classic in Utah, marking a homecoming for two freshmen from the state. Meanwhile, other collegiate teams such as Northwestern struggled in the Sahalee Players Championship, finishing near the bottom amid strong competition. Beyond collegiate golf, efforts like the VOICES Golf, Art & Hip Hop Outing in Indianapolis are working to diversify the sport and make it more inclusive, blending culture and community engagement to invite broader participation.
