Apple Releases iOS 26 Beta 6 with New Ringtones, Faster App Launches

Apple has released the sixth developer beta of iOS 26, introducing several new features and refinements ahead of its public launch. Among the most notable additions are six new ringtones that are variants of the classic 'Reflection' tone—named Buoyant, Dreamer, Tech, Pop, Reflected, and Surge—plus a completely new ringtone called 'Little Bird,' though Reflection remains the default sound. The update also includes a new onboarding sequence that showcases the operating system's dynamic 'Liquid Glass' design language, emphasizing enhanced customization and easier in-app searching. Other improvements in iOS 26 encompass upgrades to Image Playground, Shortcuts, Messages, and Phone apps, along with a new Games app and a Foundation Models framework enabling developers to integrate Apple Intelligence tools into third-party apps.
